PTI ministers, advisor lash out at ‘renegade’ party members

Earlier, the PTI ministers and advisors have lashed out at their renegade members who have got shelter in the Sindh House in Parliament apparently in a bid to avoid the wrath of the ruling party members who are asking them to resign from the party, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry who took part in a TV show, uploaded bits of his interview in his tweets. He wrote:

“Under Article 63-1 A, if a member quits his party or joins another party, his vote will not be counted after party chief writes a letter to the Speaker. These people themselves have said that they have left the party, so now action will be taken against them and their disqualification will be for life.

“The Sindh chief minister should be ashamed of himself. He is wasting poor people’s money to buy conscience of people. While people don’t have clean water to drink in Sindh. The health system is awful over there but he is engaged in buying and selling (assembly members).

“The government has the resources, it is easy for it to buy and sell (members). As it had happened in 1989 when a no-confidence motion was brought against Benazir Bhutto. She used the resources to thwart the motion. But Imran Khan has decided that we will not use government resources. We will not indulge in bidding.”

On the other hand, Special Assistant to PM Dr Shahbaz Gill during a private TV talk show started using abusive language against the MNA from Sindh, Ramesh Kumar Vankwani.

The SAPM alleged that Mr Kumar wanted to sell fake medicine of cancer.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcast Farrukh Habib said that during Senate election, the PPP indulged in buying conscience of members of the national assembly. Yousaf Raza Gilani’s son video is also available to corroborate the fact, he added.

He said it was clearly written in the Election Act that no one could offer money to the voter in order to buy his vote. “it’s time that the Election Commission took action and got rid of this practice,” Habib added.

He rued that the Sindh House had been turned into an auction house and all the fraudsters who had looted public money had been assembled there.
