PP-32 by-poll: LHC asks ECP to redress grievance of Parvez and Mrs Parvez

The Lahore High Court (LHC) directed the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) to redress the grievances of former Punjab CM Parvez Ehali, his spouse and others regarding the process of the nomination papers.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh took up the pleas of Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and others for not accepting nomination papers for PP-32 by-elections

Aamir Saeed Advocate represented the the petitioners, telling the court that the returning officer was not receiving the nomination papers of Pervez Elahi, Sameera Elahi and others from Gujrat.

The police are also obstructing the submission of nomination papers, the petitioner contended and requested the court to order the RO to receive the paper and refrain the police from harassing them.
