The Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) has signed an agreement with a Saudi company, Najd Gateway Holding Company, in the livestock sector, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Under the agreement, alfalfa (fodder for livestock) will be cultivated over 5,000 acres of land, subsequently leading to its export.
Pakistani land has great potential for the growth of such products with nutrient and high protein to support high quality breeding of livestock.
Alfalfa, which is cultivated in several countries of the world, has a great nutritious value since it is a source of protein for the cattle, and is a basic component of the diet of milk producing animals such as cows, goats, sheep and others.
