PIA launches two weekly flights from Karachi to Zhob after hiatus of three years

The Pakistan International Airline (PIA) has started two weekly flights from Karachi to Zhob, Balochistan after a hiatus of three years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The first flight PK-528 carrying 36 passengers has left for Zhob from Jinnah International Karachi Airport on Tuesday morning and reached Zhob Airport.

The flight launch was possible due to the efforts of the federal and provincial governments as Zhob Airport in Zhob District, Balochistan has been operational after three years. The last flight operated on was in 2018.

An opening ceremony was held at Karachi Airport before the departure of the flight and the cake was cut.

PIA District Manager Faisal Kharal, PIA Airport Manager Olympian Ahmed Alam and senior PIA officials were present on the occasion.

PIA CEO Air Marshal (retired) Arshad Malik said PIA will provide the best service to the passengers and weekly flights have been launched after due demand of Zhob and Karachi business community.

PIA CEO Arshad Malik said the national airline will operate Karachi-Zhob-Karachi flights every Tuesday and Friday.
