Former interior minister Sheikh Rashid said Wednesday while talking to media in Islamabad that interviews were being held of economists for selecting interim prime minister, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He said that the ‘single-vote’ government would not be able to last long, adding that they [coalition government] were begging from the institutions to give them a one-year guarantee.
“Institutions are not ignorant; they are well aware of the situation,” said Sheikh Rashid, adding that difficulties of the coalition government would increase with each passing day.
“They will dig their own graves if they delay elections,” he said, adding that their coalition would explode in the square.
He claimed that interviews of economists were being held for caretaker prime minister, adding decisions would be finalised by May 31 next.
Meanwhile, the former interior minister’s interim bail was extended till June 6 next.
