The weather office advised people to take precautionary measures due to the heat wave as very hot weather is expected in most plain areas of the country with light rain-thunderstorms with gusty winds may occur at isolated places in upper areas of the country, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

However, light rain-thunderstorms with gusty winds may occur at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas. Gusty winds are also likely in central and southern districts of Punjab during the period.
According to the Meteorological department, very hot weather is expected in most plain areas of the country, however, light rain-thunderstorm with gusty winds may occur at isolated places in Gilgit Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir and its adjoining hilly areas.
Gusty winds are also likely in central and southern districts of Punjab during the period.
Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country. Shallow westerlies in patches are passing over western/upper parts of the country.
On Tuesday, weather remained hot and dry in most parts of the country, while very hot in plain areas. However, rain-winds/thunderstorms occurred at a few places in Islamabad, upper Punjab, Gilgit Baltistan, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir.
