TikToker Dolly was under severe criticism after her video with Margalla forest on fire in the backdrop went viral on social networking platform at a time when the authorities in Islamabad were trying to cool down the fire, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
The netizens bashed the TikToker who made the video in the background music of famous song Pasoori in front of the burning trees of Margalla Hills.
Capital Development Authority Environment Department Assistant Director Protection submitted an application in the Kohsar Police Station for the registration of an FIR and pleaded a strict action against the TikToker.
The wildlife fire poses serious threats to humans and birds as well who completely rely on a peaceful environment to live in their nests up in the trees.
Climate change activist Rina Saeed tweeted, “Those who set fire to forests don’t realise the damage they do to wildlife! It is breeding season for birds in Margalla right now & their ground nests destroyed by fire, can’t even escape! Here's a video sent by KP forest dept after recent fires in Haripur side.”
