Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Amjad Thursday announced leaving his party after vandalism on May 09.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, Dr Amjad made this announcement in a press conference held here in Islamabad on Thursday.
Dr Amjad said the memorials of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country were attacked which is unacceptable.
He said PTI Chairman Imran Khan was surrounded by a group of people having vested interests.
He also criticized some decisions of Imran Khan and said the party chairman sacrificed two provincial governments only for his ego.
Dr Amjad was a focal person of PTI Chairman Imran Khan for trade unions. He strongly condemned the May 9 tragedy and said feeling shame for attacking monuments of martyrs and damaging sensitive buildings.
He announced that he is resigning from the party and politics as the PTI is doing against its manifesto.
