The fire which erupted in Pharee forest of Murree on Thursday could not be fully controlled on Friday while it posed risks to nearby localities, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
However, for 15 hours, Forest Department, Rescue 1122 personnel and local people were busy in attempts to douse the fire.
According to the local population, a large part of the forest was burnt while birds and wildlife are in danger.
Moreover, smoke from the fire can be seen rising from miles away.
The fire is burning on both sides of the mountain.
