Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has chaired a meeting held in connection with introducing reforms in the Board of Revenue (BOR), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The Chief Minister was given a detailed briefing on Punjab Urban Land Systems Enhancement (Pulse) project on Saturday.
On the occasion Maryam Nawaz Sharif directed to take necessary steps for digitization. She ordered to ensure participation of concerned departments in land digitization process
She was briefed that land record digitization is being done under the Pulse project with the support of the World Bank.
Punjab Land Record Authority and Management of State Land also briefed on business plan issues.
It was briefed that honour-based digitization of all the sites of Punjab will be done.
Revenue system to be made transparent through partition of land and parcel document.
Government will declare clear property green in every way and the land have any issue to be declared Yellow and Red.
Proposal to abolish joint account system to be seriously considered and getting a separate property number for each buyer will reduce legal complications.
The system of individual ownership and transfer of land will also be simplified by digitization.
Overseas Property Transfer Service was also reviewed for overseas Pakistanis.
Individual, mutation, e-filing and registration facility is being provided in overseas property transfer service.
Information Minister Azma Zahid Bukhari, MPA Sania Ashiq, Chief Secretary, Chairman P&D, Head of SMU and other officials attended the meeting.
