Modern anti-aircraft guns of Pakistan Army, radar system, locally manufactured ammunition, and fuze were displayed at the 11th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar (IDEAS) 2022 being held at Expo Centre of Karachi after a hiatus of four years, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The ability of modern anti-aircraft guns to fire 1100 bullets in a minute makes them unique meanwhile a radar system was also displayed in the exhibition along with the guns that can target the enemy up to 17 km.
The defence exhibition was open to the general public as well and Friday (today) was its last day. The products of Pakistan Army's logistics division has been wonderfully exhibited in the exhibition.
Turkiye booked two halls this year in Defence Exhibition.
Pakistan Ordnance Factory has introduced locally manufactured products range in the exhibition. The 125 Sajil Anti-Tank Ammunition, the 60 and 80 mm Airdrop Bomb, the Fuze PDM 739, and the P-One are some of the new products from POF.
POF Research and Development has increased the capacity of 125 mm Sajil anti-tank ammunition to 620 mm, and this high quality ammunition can be used in Pakistan Army's battle tanks Al-Khalid, Al-Khalid 1 and Al-Zarar tanks.
Moreover, Airdrop bombs of 60 and 81 mm caliber manufactured entirely in POF. These bombs can spread destruction up to 70 meters on their target. These airdrop bombs have features such as a fuze capable of detonating on target, and protection during transport and on-target.
The goal of POF is to provide the Pakistan Armed Forces with modern and up-to-date weapons and ammunition. POF works very hard to address the defence demands of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
Additionally, A MoU was also signed between POF and Malaysia's Armor Technology to establish an ecosystem for the supply chain for weapons and ammunition. The agreement was signed by Mir Sareyal Azlan, Executive Director of Armor Technology Malaysia, and Usman Ali Bhatti, Director of Export POF.
It is important to note that IDEAS is a defence exhibition that brings together players in the defence industry from all around the world to display the latest technology advancements.
