Punjab Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi on Friday reiterated that the caretaker government is committed to its responsibilities, and when the time is complete, they will return home, reported the 24NewsHD TV channel.
Addressing the inter-provincial Bar Council meeting, Naqvi declared the start of a fully operational dispensary for the Punjab Bar Council within the next ten days.
Expressing his desire for lawyers to focus on their professional duties and return home after completing their responsibilities, Naqvi acknowledged the extended duration of service for the caretaker setup.
Naqvi further revealed plans for the establishment of a committee, in consultation with the Advocate General, to address issues related to the Lawyers Protection Act.
He urged the Bar Council to set deadlines for initiating construction work on the allocated plot.
During the ceremony, the Chief Minister expressed gratitude to lawyers and bar leaders from all four provinces, Islamabad, Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and Gilgit-Baltistan.
Naqvi spoke fondly of his longstanding relationship with Chairman Ahsan Bhoon.
Highlighting his responsibility to fulfill the legitimate aspirations of the legal fraternity, Naqvi assured that a notification for the focal person in the police force would be issued by tonight.
He mentioned numerous family members associated with the legal profession and emphasized the government's dedication to arranging relief for them as much as possible.
He commended the exemplary work of lawyers' associations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Sindh.
The CM also announced a collaboration with the Punjab Information Technology Board to organize the data of Punjab lawyers.
The Chief Minister expressed the government's love for lawyers and aimed for a friendly and successful environment.
