Unidentified gunmen shot dead Balochistan National Party (BNP) leader Khair Muhammad Mardooyi in Khuzdar on Monday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Sources in police suspected that the murder could be the result of an old enmity.
Police said they have cordoned off the area and launched an operation to arrest the culprits.
