The federal government will give to all Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) MNAs Rs1 billion each for development projects, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
The party has asked its MNAs as well as MPAs to submit lists of development schemes in their constituencies so that the amounts could be handed to them.
In this connection, the MQM-P delegation will also meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif in a few days from now.
Matters related to the 27th constitutional amendment will also come under discussion at the meeting.
Apart from that, the party will present to the prime minister the establishment of the Project Monitoring Unit and other demands.
MQM-P chairman says Pakistan cannot afford political instability
Chairing an important meeting of the party’s office-bearers, MQM-P Chairman Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui said on Monday that both the military and the civilian leadership were eager to put the country on the path to progress. “Pakistan cannot afford political instability at this point in time,” he said, adding that all political parties, including the PTI, should show maturity and tolerance.
