PTI lawyer Latif Khosa on Monday filed in the Supreme Court (SC) a miscellaneous application in the case of trial of civilians in military courts, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.

The lawyer prayed to the apex court to fix the case’s hearing as early as possible. “Please fix the hearing in the last week of November.”

In the application, Khosa wrote that on October 23, 2023, the SC had declared the military trial of civilians ‘unconstitutional’, and ordered that the cases of 103 suspects in the May 9 riots be forwarded to other courts. “Later when intra-court appeals were filed, the court barred the military courts from giving final verdicts in these cases.”

“And it was on December 13, 2023 that the court ordered that the case be fixed for the hearing in the third week of January,” the PTI lawyer said, and added however, the case was yet to be fixed for the hearing.
