US Ambassador to Pakistan, Donald Armin Blome, emphasised the long-term impact of ongoing US-Pakistan development projects rather than focusing solely on their construction, 24NewsHD TV Channel reported on Monday.
Speaking to the media at the Pakistan National Council of Arts (PNCA), he stated that efforts worth $2 billion under the US-Pakistan partnership are aimed at improving Pakistan's infrastructure while strengthening institutions to address environmental challenges.
Ambassador Blome noted that Pakistan has been significantly affected by environmental pollution.
He highlighted a recently launched programme in Faisalabad focused on renewable energy, water management, and modernising Pakistan's agricultural systems.
The initiative also includes the introduction of climate-resilient crops to enhance the country’s ability to withstand environmental challenges, Donald Blome said.
Ambassador Blome also touched on democratic developments in the US, mentioning the recent expansion of voting rights for the public.
He also expressed confidence in the Donald Trump administration fulfilling its responsibilities to the American people.
