Supreme Court on Tuesday fixed the hearing of the contempt of court petition against Imran Khan on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
According to the 24News HD TV channel, the court has issued notice to the Ministry of Interior which is a petitioner against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in this case.
A five-member larger bench headed by Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial will hold the hearing on October 20. In the bench, Justice Ijazul Ahsan, Justice Muneeb Akhtar, Justice Yahya Afridi, and Justice Mazahir Ali Akbar Naqvi are also included.
In the petition, the interior ministry has put charges of arson during Imran Khan's long march on May 25. The petition also said that law enforcement agencies have reported that Imran Khan deliberately violated court orders during his long march.
