Lahore High Court has directed to club together cases of harassment of female students in educational institutions, Azma Bukhari’s alleged viral video and ban on X, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The court further directed the three cases to be consolidated will be heard by a three-member bench.
The court on Friday ordered the Director General Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) to conduct an investigation and submit a report at the next hearing.
A three-member bench headed by the Chief Justice of the High Court will hear the case on the next hearing.
Earlier, Advocate General Khalid Ishaq and Inspector General of Police (IGP) Punjab appeared before court in petition regarding harassment of female students in educational institutions.
During hearing of the case Chief Justice Alia Neelam ordered that the statement of the victim girl of Lahore College University should be recorded and if it happens that any pressure is put on the student of Lahore College University, action will be taken against everyone.
While recording the student's statement, University Registrar and other women representatives will be present, Chief Justice ordered.
Chief Justice ordered DG FIA to investigate the cases of Punjab College, Lahore College University and Punjab University and submit a detailed report on the next hearing.
