Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has announced that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers will stage countrywide protests tomorrow, demanding the release of Imran Khan.
In a video message from Peshawar, Gandapur urged the party leadership and workers from across the nation to take to the streets and hold district-level protests on Friday.
According to the 24NewsHD TV channel, the KP Chief Minister stressed that the protests are not just about meeting Imran Khan but about raising a voice against unconstitutional amendments.
He warned that if action is not taken now, future generations will suffer severe consequences. Gandapur also called on decision-makers to avoid taking steps that are not in the country's or people's interest.
Meanwhile, Acting PTI Punjab President Hamad Azhar has also announced protests across Punjab, with demonstrations set to begin on Friday after prayers.
Hamad Azhar stated that local PTI organisations will announce protest venues for each district, while he will determine the locations for major cities.
