Two women were killed in two separate incidents in different areas of Punjab, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Sunday.
According to police, a man killed her wife over some domestic issue in Mauza Bazida within the jurisdiction of Chochak police station in Renala Khurd.
The deceased was identified as 24-year-old Maria Bibi. The accused, identified as Ijaz Hussain, fled from the scene after killing his wife.
On information, the police reached the spot and took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital for post-mortem.
A case was also registered at Chochak police station on the complaint of Maria Bibi’s father.
In Jhelum, unknown motorcyclists shot the widow of a policeman dead near Lorry Adda.
Police said that Sobia was going to a doctor with her brother to take medicine for her infant son when the accused shot her dead.
The police took the body into custody and shifted it to a hospital.
Family of the deceased woman alleged that she had been murdered by her husband’s big brother and an accomplice of him over a dispute for pension and share in property.
It is to be noted here that Junaid, a serving policeman and the husband of the deceased woman, had died in an accident two months ago.
The police registered a case against Sher Afgan [big brother of Junaid], his friend Malik Waseem and two unknown persons.
