Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari on Monday demanded again the immediate announcement of the date for elections, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.

While addressing a press conference in Okara, he demanded that objections to the level-playing field be removed, adding: “The PPP has always served the country. The public representation is important.”

He pointed out that no one could push the PPP against the wall, adding that the PPP had been demanding the return of Nawaz Sharif for long.

He also claimed that the PPP never stepped back from elections, adding that the PPP took care of every segment of society in the country.

He also said that the country had been faced with several challenges. “When the PPP was assigned the responsibility, there was an economic crisis in the country,” he added.

The PPP chairman said that there was a political and economic crisis in the country, adding: “We import sugar, wheat and rice.”

Earlier, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was accorded a warm welcome upon his arrival in Okara.
