A Pakistani man who married a Canadian woman who is 35 years older than him has denied accusations of being a "gold digger".
Naeem Shahzad, 35, from Gujarat, Pakistan, said he fell in love with Mary, 70, after they became friends on Facebook in 2012. Mary proposed to him in 2015 and they tied the knot in August 2017.
However, they faced visa issues and could not live together in Canada.
Mary recently visited Pakistan for the first time in six years and plans to stay with Naeem for six months.
Naeem said he was mentally disturbed when he met Mary and she supported him emotionally and financially.
Anyhow, he said his old age wife was not wealthy and lived on a modest pension.
He said he did not care about the age difference and that his wife was the most important person in his life.
