The Pakistan Railways has increased its fares, the 24NewsHD TV channel reported on Monday.

According to a notification, the department stated that the ticket prices will be increased by 5% with effect from September 19.

The Karachi-Lahore fair for the economy class went up by Rs300,  A/C business class by Rs500.

The department made the increase in fares for the third time in the past one-and-a-half months.
