The Islamabad High Court (IHC) has removed the objections to the petition of Member National Assembly (MNA) Zain Qureshi against his arrest from inside Parliament and directed to reschedule the hearing of the case for tomorrow, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Wednesday.
Chief Justice Amir Farooq heard the case of Zain Qureshi with objections. The court also directed the registrar's office to number the application after removing objections.
Advocate Faisal Fareed Chaudhry and others appeared before the court on behalf of Zain Qureshi.
According to the text of the petition, the arrest of Zain Qureshi is a violation of Article 10-A, and he was arrested from inside the Parliament house illegally.
An investigation into the illegal arrest of Zain Qureshi should be ordered, the text of the petition said.
Ministry of Interior, Commissioner Islamabad and IG Islamabad were made parties in the petition.
