Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has strongly rejected constitutional amendments package which the government wanted to introduce in the parliament for approval, 24News HD TV Channel reported.
Talking to newsmen in Peshawar on Tuesday, CM Gandapur said that our religion Islam teaches us to live in peace. He prayed to Almighty Allah to erase hatred from our hearts.
Responding to a question, Gandapur said that these amendments are a direct attack on our democracy and we will take every constitutional measure to block its passage from the parliament.
The KP chief minister said that how can a democratic government allow such kind of amendments.
He vowed his full support to present judiciary in this regard. He further said that they are standing with the judges.
Gandapur said that these amendments will be blocked in early stage so the government will not be able to get passed these amendments.
