Federal Planning and Development Minister Asad Umer has broken silence about the poor performance of Punjab government, 24news channel reported on Tuesday.
Sources said Asad for the first time talked about poor governance in Punjab as the cabinet met with Prime Minister Imran Khan in the chair. Asad was among the special squad that made public two-year performance of the government the same day.
According to sources, the planning minister said Punjab has been plagued with problems questioning public service delivery by the Buzdar-led government.
The insiders said Fawad Ch and Human Rights Minister Shireen Mazari seconded Asad.
In response to Fawad Ch’s remarks about the poor performance of Punjab government, Imran Khan said in a lighter vein that thank God, you spoke here.
Giving NRO to the opposition is hypocrisy, the prime minister said, adding that cabinet discussion leak is tantamount to hypocrisy.
He asked his team members to better public service delivery.
“You are all being monitored. Ensure better public service delivery, the PM said.
Shireen Mazari slammed the Foreign Office for, what she called, its failure to project PM’s Kashmir narrative effectively.
Had the Foreign Office ‘carried forward’ the prime minister's narrative, the situation would have been different today, the minister said in her address at a Kashmir event a couple of days ago.
