JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rahman has so far not received any questionnaire from the National Accountability Bureau (NAB), reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Talking to the TV channel on Saturday, JUI-F KP Amir and Fazl’s brother Maulana Ataur Rahman said that the NAB did not have the courage to send a notice to Fazlur Rahman.
He said the JUI-F will train its guns on those who control the NAB. “We will throw a stone from where a brick will be tossed towards us,” he added.
According to the sources close to Maulana Fazlur Rahman, even if the JUI-F chief received a questionnaire from the NAB he would neither respond to it nor would appear before the Bureau.
The sources, however, said the party will issue a strong response to the NAB move. A party meeting in the coming days will frame a strategy about this issue.
On Friday last, a detailed NAB questionnaire containing 26 queries was sent to JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, asking him to submit a reply along with evidence by December 24, in connection with the ongoing assets beyond means inquiry.

Moreover, the NAB has warned the JUI-F chief, who is also the PDM president, that any failure to comply with the directives would result in legal action.
On the other hand, Fazl, according to 24NewsHD, reacted to the report, saying that he did not receive any notice and the “buddies” were using the issue for media trial. They would see how to respond when any notice or questionnaire was received, he remarked, adding that he did not recognise or accept the NAB as an accountability organisation.
To begin with, the NAB has asked Fazl to share the details of the income sources of Mufti Mehmood, his late father who died 40 years ago. Moreover, he is also supposed to provide the details of the properties inherited or bought by his father as well as the inheritance passed on to him and his family through his parents.
The annual income sources and the assets owned as well as the sources of income used to buy 64 kanals of land in DI Khan, two kanals and 15 marlas along with five marlas purchased in Multan Cantt in the name of his son, or any other land purchased by him or his family members should also be explained by Fazl.
According to the NAB questionnaire, the seasoned politician must describe his or the JUI-F relation with the following persons: Muhammad Ashraf, Abdul Rauf, Shaukat Khan, Din Muhammad, Yasir, Abrar Ali Shah, Sharifullah, Tikka Khan, Haji Shehzada, Ibrar Ahmed and Muhammad Ramzan.
These questions also cover the gifts received by him or his family, properties other than land, assets bought by his sisters and brothers, properties sold and hotels, shops and houses built in the names of others.
On the other hand, the NAB also sought details about his election expenses and tax returns along with the foreign tours, bank accounts and madrasas run by him and family members.
Meanwhile, the registration, financial, assets and income details of the madrasas managed by Fazl and his family, and the state land provided to him, close aides or party members are also on the radar.
