The cabinet division on Monday issued notification of the change of portfolio of Attaullah Tarar, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Attaullah Tarar has been notified as special assistant to prime minister on interior and legal affairs.
The government has taken back his earlier portfolio of SAPM on anti-narcotics and legal affairs.
According to the notification, Mr Tarar’s position will be equivalent to a federal minister.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif made Mr Tarar his SAPM on interior and legal affairs on Dec 16.
