The Sindh School Education Department has imposed a ban on the transfers and postings of teaching and non-teaching staff.
According to 24NewsHD TV channel, the department issued a notification stating the ban was imposed on the instructions of the Election Commission of Pakistan.
All the leaves except maternity leave have been cancelled, it said, adding that the medical certificate has been made mandatory for maternity leave.
Winter vacation of the staff has also been so cancelled that no one will be allowed to leave the offices during the winter holidays, it maintained.
