A man was allegedly set on fire by his in-laws in Chiniot on Tuesday after a domestic tiff, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Babar Ali, a resident Burj Mandi, came to his in-laws’ house in Mohalla Dil Khoshaab to meet his son when a heated argument between him and his mother-in-law turned violent. Later, Babar was allegedly set on fire.
“Babar was tricked into visiting his in-laws’ home on the call on his son,” victim’s father alleged, adding that Babar used to come to his in-laws home but they never allowed him to meet his son.
Babar’s mother alleged that her son was tortured before being torched.
Doctors at District Headquarters Hospital in Chiniot have referred the injured man to a hospital in Faisalabad on account of his critical condition.
