43.29pc students pass MDCAT for MBBS, 50.66pc qualify for BDS in Sindh

Overall 32,200 candidates appeared in test under IBA Sukkur, only 10 Karachi students clear the exam

Only 43.29 percent of candidates could clear the test for MBBS admission while more than half of the students (56.70 percent) who appeared in Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) could not qualify for BDS admission in Sindh, reported 24NewsHD TV channel. 

According to final results, 50.66 percent of students have qualified for BDS admission. 56.70 percent of candidates did not qualify for MBBS admission. Overall 32,200 candidates appeared in the test under IBA Sukkur. 

Only 43.29 percent of candidates could clear the test for MBBS. Only 10 candidates from Karachi ranked among top 100 while majority fail for MBBS admission. Candidates from Ranipur, Badin, Khairpur and Tharparkar secured the maximum 192 marks. 

Sindh government had entrusted the Institute of Business Administration (IBA) Sukkur with conducting the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), following IBA Karachi’s decision to opt out of managing the process. The MDCAT is a crucial exam for students seeking admission to medical and dental colleges across the province.
