Pakistan Bar Council has imposed ban on new LLB admissions in Punjab University Law College Lahore and urged the administration to fulfill required legal requirements, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to details, new admissions were stopped in PU law college for non-registration of law students in Pakistan Bar Council.
Poor facilities in law research lab and dilapidated condition of classrooms have also been cited as one of the key reasons for ban.
Pakistan Bar Council learnt that PU Law College was not offering non-practicing allowance to tutors teaching law students. Moreover, during the visit of Director Legal Education Pakistan Barrister Osama Malik found irregularities in Punjab University Law College.
Pakistan Bar Council has directed the administration to fulfill the requirements.
