Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Quaid Nawaz Sharif may be out of politics but he cannot stay away from the news for long as the former three-time prime minister is leading in popularity ratings across the country’s many provinces as compared to Prime Minister Imran Khan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
According to a Gallup survey, with a popularity rate of 58 percent in Punjab, 46 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 51 percent in Sindh, Nawaz Sharif is leaving behind Imran Khan who experienced a visible drop in popularity in his powerhouse province of KP with 46 percent and 33 percent in Sindh and Punjab.
The findings of Gallup Pakistan survey carried out from December 22 to January 31, 2022, sorting views of 5,000 people from across the country about the popularity of Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan, Shehbaz Sharif and PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
According to the findings, Nawaz Sharif managed 46 percent in KP, followed by 44 percent for Imran Khan, Shehbaz Sharif 43 percent, Bilawal Bhutto and Asif Zardari got 24 percent in the KP.
There was a significant reduction in popularity for the prime minister in KP which has dropped from 67 percent in February 2020 to 44 percent now, while that of Bilawal Bhutto dropped from 26 percent to 24 percent.
