Hitting out at Prime Minister Imran Khan for his ignoble remarks against political rivals, PML-N Punjab President Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that yesterday’s Mandi Bahauddin public meeting of PTI was mere a show to hurl abuses at the opposition, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel.
The PML-N leader while talking to media in Lahore laid emphasis on adherence to the Constitution, saying: “The main reason behind our downfall is our indifference to follow the Constitution. If all our institutions fulfil their constitutional responsibilities, the country can surely make progress.”
He also said that the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) had then been tasked with implicating political opponents in cases after the failure of National Accountability Bureau (NAB). “The prime minister has done nothing in his four years except falsely implicating political opponents in cases. His only aim is to take political revenge,” Rana Sana added.
The PML-N leader also reaffirmed the opposition’s pledge to protest and bring no-confidence motion against the government in the Parliament. “The opposition is also considering the option of long march,” he said, and adding that people would have to take to the streets to oust the band of incompetents.
“There should be an element of respect and forbearance in politics. It is condemnable for a prime minister to imitate his opponents,” Rana Sana noted, and adding that Shehzad Akbar and Shehbaz Gill were brought only to talk against Nawaz Sharif [the PML-N supremo].
