Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah Saturday announced that the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) has given a ticket to its Sindh President Nisar Khuhro for the seat vacated after the disqualification of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Senator Faisal Vawda, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Nisar Khuhro has submitted nomination forms for the vacant Senate seat.
Gul Muhammad Jakhrani and others arrived at the Election Commission office to submit nomination papers.
Nisar Khuhro has submitted his two nomination papers to the Election Commission.
In one of Nisar Khuhro nomination papers, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah is the “proposer” and daughter Nida Khuhro is the “seconder.”
Other nomination papers of Nisar Khuhro includes Raja Razzaq as proposer and Sadia Javed as seconder.
Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Waqar Mehdi, Provincial Ministers Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Shehla Raza and several other MPAs were present on the occasion.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Electoral Commission will hold elections on March 9 to fill the vacant seat in the Senate.
