In the Pakistan Super League’s eighth edition, Karachi Kings on Sunday defeated Lahore Qalandar by 67 runs, reported 24NewsHD Tv channel.
As per the results, the entire team of Lahore Qalandar was backed to the pavilion for 118 runs in 17 overs and 3 balls only.
Akif Javed was declared Man of the Match who took four wickets against 28 and forced the previous PSL champion to lick the dust.
Karachi Kings set target 186 for Lahore Qalandar
Karachi Kings have set a 186-run target for Lahore Qalandars in the 8th match of the Pakistan Super League’s (PSL) eighth edition being played at the Karachi National Stadium.
The home side posted 185-5 in their allotted 20 overs, with the help of James Vince, Mathew Wade, and Imad Waseem who made 46, 36, and 35 respectively.
Imad Wasim and Ben Cutting’s 50-run partnership helped their team produce a respectable total against the defending champions after James Vince’s 46-run performance.
Earlier, Lahore Qalandars won the toss and decided to field first against Karachi Kings.
Pertinent to mention here that Karachi Kings have lost all three of its matches while defending champions Lahore Qalandars have won one match.
