Differences have developed between PTI leaders in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) over entering into an alliance with the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf Parliamentarians (PTI-P) for the formation of government in the province, reported 24NewsHD TV channel on Monday.
Quoting its sources, the channel reported that the newly-elected PTI-backed independent candidates had warned the party leadership against forming such an alliance, saying they would lodge a strong protest in case it went ahead with its plan.
Sources said that the reason why the party MPAs and MNAs were opposed to such a deal was that according to them former PTI-P chief Pervez Khattak had caused a huge damage to the party in the province.
They disclosed that not only the party MPAs and MNAs, but ordinary workers, too, were not in the favour of seeking PTI-P’s support for the formation of government in KP.
A few hours earlier, 24News TV channel had reported that the legal teams of both the PTI and the PTI-P had agreed to form an alliance in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for the formation of government in the province.
Quoting its sources, the channel reported that however, the final decision would be taken by the top leadership of both the parties.
They revealed that in this connection the PTI-backed independents had twice contacted the PTI-P MPAs and besides discussing the formation of the provincial government, they had also discussed other details.
