Pakistani rupee recovered 18 paisas against the US dollar as the business began in intrabank trading on Wednesday, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The greenback in the previous trading session posted a handsome gain against the Pakistani rupee and ended Tuesday on Rs176.18 gaining 26 paisas.
However, on Wednesday, the rupee hit back and was being traded at Rs176 after scoring 18-paisa gain, said the forex dealers.
On Tuesday, as per the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), the US dollar gained 26 paisas against the Pakistani rupee. The previous close of the US dollar was Rs175.92 and after an increase of 26 paisas it reached and closed Rs176.18.
With a fresh rise of 0.23 percent, the rupee had depreciated by 11.86% (or Rs18.69) since the start of the current fiscal year on July 1, 2021, data released by the central bank revealed.
