The Islamabad High Court (IHC) Thursday heard the case of Imran Khan’s disqualification for not disclosing his alleged daughter in the nomination papers, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The petitioner also produced the declaration of Jemima Khan about Tyrian White.
Jemima Khan gave the declaration about Tyrian White on November 18, 2004.
Jemima had asked giving the guardianship of Tyrian White to Carolina White.
At Tyrian White’s will, Jemima had asked giving her guardianship to Carolina White.
Jemima had refused the guardianship of Tyrian White in the declaration.
Imran Khan's lawyers Salman Akram Raja and Salman Abuzar Niazi also appeared before the court.
At the outset of the hearing, Chief Justice Amir Farooq questioned whether the response has been submitted by Imran Khan
Imran’s lawyer Salman Akram Raja said they could not submit the reply as an objection was raised by the Registrar's Office.
He said the registrar office has asked that Imran Khan should appear personally for the biometric.
Upon this Chief Justice said Imran Khan can do the verification from Lahore, Karachi or Peshawar or from anywhere and attach the receipt.
Upon this Salman Akram Raja give us two weeks time to submit the answer.
Former Attorney General Salman Aslam Butt Advocate appeared before the court on behalf of the petitioner.
He said Imran Khan's lawyer wants to submit a reply after the petition is deemed admissible.
Upon this Salman Raja said they would submit reply after the admissibility of the petition.
Chief Justice said it was the right of the defence to file a reply after its admissibility or on merits.
He directed the defence lawyer to provide copy of the reply to the petitioner also.
The court adjourned the hearing of the case till January 27.
