Prime Minister Anwar-ul-Haq Kakar has summoned emergency meetings of the Federal Cabinet and the National Security Committee (NSC) tomorrow (Friday) to review the internal and border situation of the country, especially the recent escalation with Iran.
The Cabinet meeting will be held at PM House at 2:00pm where the Chief of Army Staff will brief the cabinet about the current security situation.
It will be followed by the National Security Committee meeting at 3:00 PM, which will be attended by the Army Chief, the Naval Chief, the Air Chief, the heads of intelligence agencies, the chief ministers and other federal ministers and officials.
The meetings will be briefed on the Iranian aggression and the forceful response of the Pakistani armed forces, as well as the operational preparations and security situation along the border.
The meeting will also consult on the upcoming election and other important issues. Important decisions are expected to be taken in the meeting to address the challenges facing the country and to safeguard its national interests.
