Jamiat Ulema Pakistan President Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair met Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House Lahore
The due discussed the current domestic, and international situation and matters related to the upcoming elections.
The two parties agreed on a formal electoral alliance and an eight-point agenda including work for the full implementation and supremacy of the 73 Constitution, decisions on domestic and international affairs according to national aspirations, and making the country as envisaged by Allama Muhammad Iqbal and Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
Earlier in a statement, former president Asif Ali Zardari said if any country looks towards Pakistan, it will be given an effective response.
He added: “Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but those who attack Pakistan will think a hundred times before now. We have always talked about peace in the world and always worked to maintain peace in the world
“We have the best army in the world and our forces know how to defend the country
“We want the best relations with our neighbors but only on the basis of equality.”
