Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb has announced that Pakistan plans to issue Panda Bonds by June 2025, reported 24NewsHD TV Channel on Sunday.

In an interview with Hong Kong's TVB News, the finance minister stated that the initiative aims to integrate Pakistan into China's capital markets.

He revealed that Pakistan intends to raise approximately $200 million from Chinese investors through the issuance of these bonds.

The government is focused on shifting the economy towards export-driven growth to achieve sustainability in the balance of payments, he added.

The minister emphasised the significance of the second phase of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC 2.0).

He also expressed Pakistan's commitment to enhancing financial cooperation with Hong Kong.

Minister Aurangzeb invited Hong Kong to send delegations to explore trade and financial opportunities in Pakistan.

Aurangzeb further stated that Hong Kong could serve as an ideal hub for joint ventures between Chinese and Pakistani companies.
