Residents of Sarru Sha at Takht-i-Bahi, Mardan on Monday protested against unannounced and prolonged loadshedding in their area, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Raising slogans against the government and WAPDA, the protestors said they were being made to bear up to 16-hour loadshedding.
They also complained that electrical appliances at their homes had been burnt due to frequent tripping.
Protests against power outages are common in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), particularly during the summer season.
WAPDA, on the other hand, cites electricity theft, line losses and other reasons for loadshedding in the province.
