India beat Pakistan by 7 wickets in their Women's Asia Cup T20 match at Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium, Sri Lanka on Friday.

Pakistan had won the toss and decided to bat first with the Green Shirts posting a target of 109 after being bowled out with four deliveries remaining.

Chasing a small target, Shafali Verma (40 off 29) and Smriti Mandhana (45 off 31) put a solid 85-run opening partnership to throw Pakistan out of the game.

Earlier, Deepti Sharma picked three wickets while Pooja Vastrakar, Renuka Singh and Shreyanka Patil took two each as India bowled out Pakistan for 108. Deepti returned 3 for 20 while Renuka picked 2 for 14. Vastrakar was a bit expensive with figures of 2 for 31. With a score of 25, Sidra Ameen was the top run-getter for Pakistan after the side won the toss and opted to bat first.

Pakistan labored with the bat and were bowled out for 108 runs in the last over.

Sidra Amin led the way with 25 runs, followed by Fatima Sana and Tuba Hassan, both scored 22 each.
