Youth Commission for Human Rights proudly announces its successful participation in the observation of the General Election 2024, in collaboration with the Sangat Development Foundation and the Shah Hussain Network along with the Free and Fair Election Network (Fafen). This endeavour aimed to contribute to the democratic process by ensuring fair and transparent elections.

During the extensive observation period, members of the commission actively engaged in long-term observation, and training for election-day operations, and contributed to election-day management tasks. Facilitated by experienced trainer Miss Wajhat Batool, participants were briefed on the provisions of the Election Act 2017, the importance of impartial observation, methodologies, and ethical guidelines.

After the training, all observers pledged to adhere to the regulations of the Election Commission and Fafen's code of conduct.

Participating in this observation exercise was a novel and unique experience for the Youth Commission for Human Rights. As an organization, navigating various challenges posed by Fafen/Sangat during this observation, provided invaluable practical wisdom.

The provided training sessions and materials not only enriched individual capacities but also offered numerous opportunities to implement different projects at both individual and institutional levels. The Youth Commission for Human Rights looks forward to continuing its commitment to promoting democracy and human rights through similar initiatives in the future.–Contributed
