Islamabad court accepts Imran Khan's acquittal pleas in 2 vandalism cases

The court of Islamabad’s Judicial Magistrate accepted PTI founder Imran Khan's acquittal pleas in 2 cases of vandalism during the Long March protests, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.


Judicial Magistrate Shaista Kundi heard Imran Khan's acquittal pleas in two cases of vandalism during the Long March. While Imran Khan's counsels Naeem Panjotha, Sardar Masroof and Amna Ali appeared in the court.


During the hearing, the court rejected PTI leader’s counsel request to present PTI founder in the court and questioned that if any untoward incident occurred while bringing Imran Khan to the court, who will be responsible?


On this, lawyer Naeem Panjotha said that the PTI Founder earlier used to appear in the courts by himself and demanded to give arguments in the case in the presence of Imran Khan. However, court rejected the appeal of Imran Khan’s availability in the court.


Later, after listening the arguments of Imran Khan's lawyers, the court reserved its decision on their acquittal pleas and later Court accepted PTI founder Imran Khan's acquittal in 2 cases of vandalism during the Long March protests.


Vandalism cases were filed against PTI founder in Lohi Bhir and Sahala police stations.
