Federal Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Friday that PTI Chairman Imran Khan not only caused embarrassment to the country when he was the prime minister but also after leaving the office, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
Reacting to Imran’s statement, she said that he caused embarrassment by selling the watch gifted to him by Saudi royals; by lying about the US cypher; by orchestrating attacks on army installations and memorials of the martyrs. “Merely condemning May 9 violence is not enough,” she said, adding, “Admit your crime. You can’t conceal your crime by merely condemning what befell on that day. Admit that you had masterminded the desecration of martyrs’ memorials as well as setting Jinnah House, hospitals, schools and the ambulance on fire.”
Marriyum asked Imran not to stop at condemning May 9 violence, but also hand over the ‘terrorists’ ‘hiding’ in his Zaman Park residence.
She went on to say that nowhere in the world was punishing those waging war on the state was a breach of human rights.
