How far out of the sodding train window was he leaning? There is a bit of leeway between the trains, close enough to feel a strong draught, but not that close for your head to be in the actual way of a train coming in the opposite direction or a pole erected too close to the track.
If you must stick your head out of the train window, do so gradually, and always look in the direction the train is travelling, not the other way. That way you can at least see what is coming.
But, unfortunately this was ignored in Raiwind on Saturday where a young boy was decapitated for leaning outside the window of a train, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
The tragic incident took place in Musa Pak Express coming from Multan to Lahore.
However, the Railway police took the severed head and the torso into custody and started searching for the family.
