Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said on Friday that the ‘change’ that the PTI prided itself on was nothing but total devastation for the people of Pakistan, reported 24NewsHD TV channel.
He even asking the people of Nowshera that whether they liked the much talked-about ‘change’ that the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had brought with it after coming to power.
Speaking at a ceremony held in Nowshera, he said that the PPP was the voice of poor people of Pakistan. “The party has faced three military dictators manfully,” he reminisced.
Bilawal, on the occasion, also congratulated Liaquat Khattak and Ahad Khattak on joining the party.
“PTI, instead of providing jobs to the youth as per its manifesto, had deprived them after taking office,” he claimed.
“You people of Nowshera! Please tell me, did the present government provide jobs to you? Truth of the matter is that it relieved 10, 000 employees of Pakistan Steel Mills (PSM) of their duties instead,” he regretted.
PPP chairman further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan had also taken a U-turn on his promise of building five million homes for the people.
“Regrettably, poor people’s homes are being razed to the ground on the pretext of anti-encroachments operation,” he said, and wondered, “What kind of ‘change’ is that the youth have degrees in their hands, but not jobs.”
Telling the prime minister that now it was time for him to feel alarmed, Bilawal expressed the resolve that Jyalas, the word used to refer to the PPP workers, would inflict a ‘heavy’ defeat on PTI in the next general elections.
