Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) Chairman Rashid Mahmood Langriyal Tuesday met with the Country Director of the World Bank to discuss aligning the Pakistan Raises Revenue Project with FBR’s ongoing transformation plan, reported 24NewsHd TV channel.
During the meeting, Chairman Langriyal briefed the World Bank team on the government’s vision for FBR’s transformation, emphasizing efforts to enhance revenue collection and simplify tax compliance.
As part of the transformation plan, FBR is undergoing digitization and implementing measures to boost human resource capacity. The initiative also includes comprehensive reforms in tax administration aimed at modernizing processes and improving efficiency.
The World Bank reiterated its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s efforts to strengthen revenue generation and enhance the effectiveness of its tax system.
